Katelyn (Katie) Berens focuses on commercial litigation matters.

Prior to joining Coblentz, Katie was an associate with Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP in San Francisco and Chicago, where she focused on complex commercial litigation. While at Benesch, Katie was also seconded to Cisco Systems, Inc., where she worked with Cisco’s legal team on commercial litigation matters.

Katie is admitted to practice in California and Illinois.

Katie earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2023, where she received an award for leadership and service of the public interest. During law school, Katie also served as a legal intern with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Women’s Rights Project. She received her B.A. in English and Political Science from the University of Notre Dame in 2017.
